Gibbs' second full-time campaign of Cup Series racing saw the young driver collect career-highs in top fives (eight), top 10s (12), pole positions (two) and laps led (417). Consistency early in the season eventually propelled Gibbs to his first Cup Series Playoffs berth, where the No. 54 was eliminated in the Round of 16. Although Gibbs collected five finishes of 30th or worse over the season's final five races, there's no doubt that Gibbs is still on the path to stardom.
