Q: It’s my first time at a NASCAR race, what should I know?
A: Read through NASCAR 101 for all the basics!
Q: Can I bring a guest?
A: All guests, including minor children (regardless of age) will need their own invitation and registrations. Please contact your NASCAR liaison to confirm availability.
Q: Is my VIP pass transferable?
A: No, VIP passes are nontransferable.
Q: What if it rains?
A: Each race has a unique rain plan, please contact your NASCAR liaison for more details. However, please note that umbrellas are never allowed at-track, so please bring a rain jacket or poncho.
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: Your NASCAR liaison will provide more details, but the general recommendation is to arrive at-track 2-3 hours before the posted “Green Flag” time aka race start time.
Q: Can I bring a photographer or videographer?
A: Handheld, personal camera and cell phones are allowed. However, any professional photography will require additional permission. This process takes up to 5 business days, so please alert your NASCAR liaison. Yes, with some guidelines:
- Please note camera tripods of any kind are not permitted at track.
- Absolutely no photography is allowed of:

- The engine/under the hood of a race car
- The empty wheel wells
- Underneath the car
- In the trunk where the fuel cell can be seen
Q: What areas can I enter with a VIP Credential?
A: Adults can access the NASCAR Cup Garages, Pit Road, and the Grid prior to the race. The VIP Credential also allows access to pit road during the race. Please note there are access restrictions for minors.
