Kyle Busch ignited a multicar wreck when he spun in the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet seven laps into Sunday’s Viva Mexico 250 at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
After Busch’s car snapped around while braking on entrance into Turn 1, he slammed into the back end of Justin Haley’s No. 7 Chevrolet, then made hard contact with Kyle Larson’s No. 5 Chevrolet and AJ Allmendinger’s No. 16 Chevrolet. Chase Briscoe, in the No. 19 Toyota, and Zane Smith, in the No. 38 Ford, were also involved.

Busch and Larson headed to the garage for repairs while Haley, Allmendinger, Smith and Briscoe all went to pit road for repairs. Briscoe returned and rebounded to finish seventh, as did Allmendinger, who was 13th; Haley, 24th and Smith, 35th. Larson returned late in Stage 2 after spending significant time in the garage and finished 36th.
However, Busch couldn’t continue and was scored in 37th (last) place. He was evaluated and released from the infield care center.
