RFK Racing co-owner Brad Keselowski told reporters at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday that Ryan Preece will return as driver of the team’s No. 60 Ford in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027.
Keselowski stated that the team exercised the 35-year-old driver’s option after joining the organization on a multiyear contract.

“We had a multiyear contract with Ryan and we picked up his option a few months ago,” Keselowski said. “We’re going to continue to keep him as a part of the family for a while.”
Preece, who joined RFK in 2025 after two years at Stewart-Haas Racing, is in his seventh full Cup Series season. He won 26 races and the 2013 championship in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, which helped launch his national-series career.
The highlight of Preece’s year so far came at the outset, with a rousing victory in the preseason Cook Out Clash exhibition at Bowman Gray Stadium. He ranks 18th in the Cup Series standings this season, with a three-race stretch of DNFs from late May to early June bumping him from the provisional postseason picture.
Preece just missed the Cup Series playoffs in 2025, but assembled his strongest Cup Series campaign to date. The Connecticut native placed 18th in the final Cup standings, with a career-best three top-five finishes.
