The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series treks from Talladega Superspeedway to Martinsville Speedway, with the circuit next contesting “The Paperclip” on Friday (6 p.m. ET, FS1, FOX One, NASCAR Racing Network Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
The 200-lap race at the famed short-track will be the sixth of seven races making up this year’s Chase presented by Mobil 1 and the 24th points-paying event overall.
Following Sammy Smith’s Talladega Superspeedway win, Kaden Honeycutt, driver of the No. 11 Tricon Garage Toyota, leads The Chase standings by 43 points over Layne Riggs and the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports camp. Next up is Martinsville, where each driver will look to capture their first career Truck win at the short track and make their title case.
Five Truck Series Chase drivers have been eliminated from championship contention ahead of Martinsville: Gio Ruggiero, Daniel Hemric, Ben Rhodes, Tyler Ankrum and Grant Enfinger.
Thirty-six race trucks are entered into Friday’s event.
