Goodyear is set to bring its familiar short-track tire setup for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway (2 p.m. ET, NBC, HBO Max, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) — the penultimate race of the 2026 season and The Chase presented by Mobil 1.
This setup has been used since it was introduced last October at the Virginia half-miler. The left-side tire — designed to deliver more fall-off than previous tire iterations — will be paired with the same right-side tire used since the fall of 2024. Cup teams have used this combination at North Wilkesboro Speedway, Richmond Raceway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway this season. The right-side tire ran two weeks ago at Phoenix.

“Teams across NASCAR’s three national series know their Goodyear Racing Eagles well heading into this weekend at Martinsville,” said Rick Heinrich, Goodyear NASCAR product manager. “The track’s tight concrete corners and long asphalt straightaways make it a different challenge compared with other short tracks, so having familiar tires allows teams to focus on their setup and strategy as they approach [Championship Weekend].”

All three series will also have access to wet-weather tires (four sets for each Cup Series team, and three sets each in the O’Reilly and Trucks Series) in the event of inclement weather.
