Richard Petty Motorsports No. 43 Ford crew chief Drew Blickensderfer has been fined $10,000 for lug nut(s) that were not properly installed at Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR announced Wednesday afternoon.
Blickensderfer took over for Trent Owens as crew chief for Aric Almirola ahead of last fall’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Chicagoland Speedway.
Patrick Magee, crew chief for Harrison Rhodes’ No. 01 JD Motorsports Chevrolet in the XFINITY Series, was also fined $5,000 for the same infraction.
