Bio
John Hunter Nemechek drives the No. 42 for Legacy Motor Club. He has 11 career Xfinity Series wins and 13 career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series wins. He was a 2020 Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender in his first full season in the NASCAR Cup Series after filling in for the injured Matt Tifft in 2019. Nemechek, the son of former Xfinity Series champion Joe Nemechek, drove the No. 23 Chevrolet for GMS Racing full-time in the Xfinity Series in 2019. In 2018, Nemechek earned his first career Xfinity Series victory at Kansas Speedway, one of 11 top-10 finishes he had in 18 starts. His most recent victory in the series came in June 2024 for Joe Gibbs Racing at Nashville Superspeedway.
