Michael McDowell drives the No. 71 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series. Previously, McDowell spent seven seasons with Front Row Motorsports, driving the No. 34 Ford. In his 358th career start, McDowell scored his first Cup Series win in the 2021 season-opening Daytona 500. His best result before that was a fourth-place finish at Daytona International Speedway in 2017. McDowell's second Cup Series win came at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course in August 2023. McDowell also has a win in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series -- 2016 at Road America.
