Sammy Smith competes full-time in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, driving the No. 8 JR Motorsports Chevrolet. Smith earned his first series victory at Phoenix Raceway, winning the 2023 spring race at 18 years old with Joe Gibbs Racing. He has three wins in three seasons with his most recent coming ay Rockingham Speedway in April 2025. Smith also won the ARCA Menards Series East championship in 2021, also with JGR.
