Shane van Gisbergen currently races full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 97 Chevrolet for Trackhouse Racing. The former Australian Supercars driver became the talk of the motorsports world in 2023 after winning the inaugural Cup Series race at the Chicago Street Course. Commonly referred to as "SVG," van Gisbergen boasts an impressive resume, with wins in the Bathurst 12 hour, a podium in the 24 Hours of Daytona and three championships in the Australian Supercars series. He won the inaugural Cup race at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City in June 2025. Most recently, van Gisbergen won the Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway in June 2026, marking his eighth win at NASCAR's highest level. Van Gisbergen additionally boasts six career NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series victories, with his most recent win coming at Sonoma Raceway in June 2026.
