Turtle power! In advance of the playoff opener in Chicago, the Tales of the Turtles 400, Darrell Wallace Jr. took a quick visit to the Windy City in an ambassador role.

'A Good Day for Play' featured local artwork by six Chicago artists, who all created a Ninja Turtles-themed mural, paint schemes/race logo, but this year they’ve decided to hold a contest with a few street artists in Chicago with the winner getting chosen to be the featured artist for the race.

'I have really enjoyed the relationship and the partnership we have been able to grow through NASCAR and Nickelodeon,' Wallace told MRN.com.

Winning mural 1: By Max Sansing. Sansing, a Chicago native, was raised on the Southside in the Avalon Park community. His parents were artists, and so he naturally grew to love painting at an early age.

Winning mural 2: By Tubsz. Tubsz is a Chicago-based Calligraffiti artist working in various mediums such as spray-paint, acrylic and ink. His work creates a hybrid of traditional calligraphy, graffiti hand styling and Latino Culture.

Wallace Jr. drove the No. 6 in the XFINITY Series earlier this season and also filled in for the injured Aric Almirola in the No. 43 in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.
