Drivers, kids and learning at The NASCAR Foundation’s Fun Day

About 125 fourth-graders join in the festival activities at P.H. Gonzales Elementary in Tolleson, Arizona.

NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and NASCAR Whelen All-American Super Late Model Series driver Cassie Gannis gets in on the Pinewood Derby competition.

A race car makes a question-and-answer session that much more fun.

Healthy snacks and time with drivers are part of the program with The NASCAR Foundation.

The NASCAR Foundation mascots Chase, Safety Sam and Victory Lane come to play, as well.

The NASCAR Foundation Executive Director Nichole Krieger and ISM Raceway President Bryan Sperber speak to students, along with Lupita Hightower from the Tolleson Elementary School District, P.H. Gonzales Elementary School Principal Cynthia Mills and Tolleson’s mayor, Anna Tovar.

Then it's time for the drivers to answer questions while the mascots hang around to learn, too.

The NASCAR Foundation donates a $20,000 grant through the Speediatrics Children’s Fund to Banner Health Children’s Community Clinic, which is on site at P.H. Gonzales Elementary.
