Memorial Day weekend marks the culmination of the NASCAR Salutes Together with Coca-Cola campaign, which celebrates the service and sacrifice of U.S. service members and their families during Military Appreciation Month. The initiative began May 1 at Dover Motor Speedway and will conclude Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. On Memorial Day itself, NASCAR Cup Series drivers and accompanying on-track vehicles in the Coca-Cola 600 (6 p.m. ET on FOX, PRN and SiriusXM) will carry the name of a fallen military member on the windshield. Halvorsen retired from the military but continued inspiring others toward a life of service before his passing.
