Larson did not have enough room to complete a clean slide. Instead, the driver of the No. 42 traded paint with the No. 18 and made his move to the lead spot.

The move caused Busch to smack the wall as the two turned the corner.
As both drivers said post-race, hard racing is just racing. Fair game.

Busch then made his move on Larson with a bump from the back that caused the 25-year-old driver to get loose, and made way for 'the Candy Man' to get his fifth win of the season.

Kyle Busch: 'I'd much rather not would have had to slam past him in order to win the thing. When I was going down the backstretch, I was like, 'Hell, no, you're not taking this one away right now.' This was kind of where I was at. I was just going to do anything that it took for us to be able to get back to the start/finish line first.'

Kyle Larson: 'Yeah, I mean, I didn't initially go in there planning to run into the side of him. When I ran in there and figured I wasn't going to have enough momentum to clear him and get going, I kind of made the plan to try and squeeze into him, to bog him down. It worked. Just he was able to get back to my back bumper into three.'

Larson: 'I have a lot of respect for Kyle Busch. He has a lot of respect for me. Yeah, I mean, like I said, that was hard racing. I had a lot of fun. I didn't think I was even going to get the opportunity to race him side-by-side for the win like that. I was getting really tight behind him.'

Busch: 'Hopefully many of the fans will re-watch it and re-live it and figure out it was actually a pretty good race, taking away one of the names on top of the roofs and showing their pleasure for NASCAR racing -- what it's all about.'
