Happy #Movember, everybody. May your whiskers be long, and your shears be sharp. It's time to trim down your playoff beards and rock the mustache in support of men's cancer awareness. To celebrate, here's some of NASCAR's best facial hair throughout the sport's history, because why not?

2 of 15

Mark Martin, 1981

Some might not recall that Martin wore a cookie duster early in his career, but photos never forget.

3 of 15

Tim Richmond, 1983

No driver's lip rug perfectly encapsulates 1983 better than Tim Richmond's. Nobody.

4 of 15

Davey Allison, Early 1990s

Allison's mustache is delightful -- it's so endearing and just makes him look like a nice guy, right?

5 of 15

Jeff Gordon, 1992

Not only does Jeff Gordon's racing resume belong in the Hall of Fame, but so does his upper lipholstery, which he broke into the sport with in the early 1990s.

6 of 15

Dale Jarrett, Late 1990s

The 'stache, the mullet, the championship. Dale Jarrett had it all in the late '90s.

7 of 15

Terry Labonte, 1998

Fun fact: the white-ish streaks in Labonte's mustache aren't hairs -- they're tiny little icicles.

8 of 15

Dale Earnhardt, Always

The gold standard for facial fur. His No. 3 intimidated every car on track, his mustache intimidated every driver off it.

9 of 15

Marcos Ambrose, 2013

Hey, remember this guy? This guy had a pretty cool beard a few years ago. (Moustache attached, of course.)

10 of 15

Brendan Gaughan, 2014

RIP the Gaughanstache. It needs to come back.

11 of 15

Kyle Larson, 2014

Ha. Just kidding.

12 of 15

Richard Petty, 2016

Perhaps the most important piece of the ensemble necessary to be 'The King,' it's weird to think he hasn't always had it.

13 of 15

Paul Menard, 2016

Menard has sported a beard off and on the past few years. He should keep it, because it's great and speaks volumes. And something has to, you know?

14 of 15

Dale Earnhardt Jr., 2016

We've seen a few different styles from Junior over the years, but he seems to have settled on a well-maintained full beard. Thumbs up from us.

15 of 15

Jimmie Johnson, 2016

Speaking of thumbs up, Jimmie Johnson's facial hair is so good, even he knows the sprinkling of gray hairs that popped up this year aren't enough to slow him down on his way to a potential seventh championship.
