Byron came on strong late using a two-tire stop under caution to take the lead with 17 laps to go. The victory officially put Byron in the Championship 4. His third-place finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway earned him the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship. Byron will move to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2018 and drive the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet.

Byron came into the race four points to the good on making the playoff field heading into the regular-season finale. He punched his playoff ticket in resounding fashion with his first NASCAR Cup Series win by holding off Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. late at Daytona.

Byron snuck past Martin Truex Jr. and Denny Hamlin to win Stage 2 and then cruised in the final stage for a 2.777-second victory over Tyler Reddick. It was Byron's second NASCAR Cup Series win and his first with crew chief Rudy Fugle, who took over for Chad Knaus after Knaus moved into an administrative role at Hendrick Motorsports.

Byron took the lead from Bubba Wallace on Lap 316 of 325 and held it the rest of the way, capturing his first victory of the 2022 season on the revamped 1.5-mile track. Byron crossed the finish line 0.109 seconds ahead of Christopher Bell, who was later penalized for driving below the line. Byron became the third Hendrick Motorsports winner in 2022, joining teammates Alex Bowman and Kyle Larson.

Byron won his eighth career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, his first since his seven-win 2016 season. Byron drove the No. 7 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports, leading a race-high 94 of 200 laps. The victory also marked Byron's first at Martinsville, in any series. Kyle Busch, owner of the all-time most NASCAR Camping World Truck Series wins, was in the field.

Byron's second win of the spring weekend came just two nights later. Pit-road execution gave him the advantage over teammate Chase Elliott, his top competition throughout most of the race. And he held off a hard-charging Joey Logano and strong run from Austin Dillon in overtime to complete the weekend double, becoming the first multi-race winner of the 2022 season.

Byron dominated this one early, sweeping the stages and being stingy with the lead, but it was looking like teammate Kyle Larson's race in the late moments. A well-timed caution helped Byron then re-claim the lead after a strong pit stop and restart, and he cruised in OT to his first win of 2023.

Byron stormed to the win in overtime at Phoenix Raceway, working past teammate Kyle Larson for the second straight week as he collected his first set of back-to-back Cup victories. The No. 24 Chevy won Stage 1 and led 64 laps en route to the dramatic win.

It was an opportunistic race for Byron, surviving calamity in Turns 1 and 2 on the final restarts to take his third win of the 2023 Cup Series season. The win marked the 100th victory for the No. 24 in NASCAR's top series.
