Before and After: Cars at Bristol

Short-track racing brings plenty of beating and banging over the course of a race, and with Sunday's Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race being run over the course of two days and in inclement weather, the Sprint Cup Series cars definitely got the opposite of a face lift. Here's a look at the before and after of several cars.

Before: Brian Scott started the race 30th in his No. 44 Ford.

After: Scott actually managed an 18th-place finish with a car that looked like this.

Before: Kyle Busch started the race third in his No. 18 Toyota.

After: Kyle Busch looked fit for Victory Lane until a shock broke on his No. 18 Toyota, sending him spinning after leading a total of 256 laps, the race-high.

Before: Martin Truex Jr. started the race seventh in his No. 78 Toyota.

After: Martin Truex Jr. was showing strength at the short track until he got swept up in the wreck with Kyle Busch on Lap 358. Truex finished 23rd.

Before: Matt Kenseth's No. 20 Toyota. He started the race fifth.

After: Matt Kenseth was one of the cars who got tangled up in the Kurt Busch-Brad Keselowski wreck. Kenseth posted a 37th-place finish for the day.

Before: Brad Keselowski's No. 2 Ford. He started the race ninth.

After: Brad Keselowski got tangled with Kurt Busch as he's leading, causing a large part of the field to wreck. Keselowski finished 33rd.

Before: Kyle Larson started the race 23rd in his No. 42 Chevrolet.

After: Kyle Larson finished 24th after a strong showing at Bristol, but was unfortunately swept up in an on-track incident.

Before: Kurt Busch started the race 14th in his No. 41 Chevrolet.

After: For the first time this year, Busch didn't complete every lap. He was leading late but got loose, starting an 11-car wreck.

Before: Landon Cassill started the race 32nd in his No. 38 Ford.

After: Cassill was bumped all over the track Sunday, yet still netted a 20th-place finish.

After: Bayne was running in the top 10 late and finished 12th.
