1986: Davey Allison on pit road before the running of the Miller High Life 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway. The race was one of five Cup races he qualified for during the year driving a Chevrolet for Sadler Brothers Racing. He finished the Richmond race in 12th place.

1988: Bobby Allison won the Daytona 500 two car-lengths ahead of his son, Davey. It was only the second time in NASCAR history a father-son duo finished 1-2. Richard Petty and father Lee did so in 1960 at Heidelberg, Pennsylvania.
