Following his walk-off victory at Martinsville Speedway in the 2024 Cup Series Playoffs Round of 8, Ryan Blaney is attempting to make NASCAR Cup Series history. As the reigning 2023 Cup Series champion, Blaney will look to become the first driver to win back-to-back titles in well over a decade.

UNKNOWN — 1970s: David Pearson began racing on the NASCAR Cup circuit in 1960 and continued to do so through 1986. During that period, Pearson entered 574 races and won 105 of them, second all-time only to Richard Petty’s 200 victories. Pearson finished in the top 10 on 366 occasions, a 63.8 percentage. He started 113 races from the pole and claimed three NASCAR Cup championships (1966, 1968 and 1969), even though most years he did not run the full Cup schedule.
