Remembering Greg Biffle, a 19-time NASCAR Cup Series winner, two-time national series champion and member of NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers. We look back at the best moments of his career following his passing in a plane crash on Dec. 18, 2025, at age 55.

After catching team owner Jack Roush's attention on the local short-track scene, Biffle made his Truck Series debut with Roush in 1998, finishing eighth in points.

The following two seasons, Biffle earned a total of 14 victories, including nine in 1999. A more consistent five-win campaign in 2000 earned him his lone Truck Series championship.

It didn't take long for Biffle's Truck Series success to transition over to the Busch Series (now Xfinity Series). He won nine races combined across the 2001 and 2002 seasons and won the 2002 title with four wins and 25 top 10s.

Biffle earned the call-up for his rookie campaign in the Cup Series in 2003. Piloting the No. 16 Ford, it took just 17 races for him to make his name known at NASCAR's top level as he won the Daytona summer race.

Biffle completed his best Cup Series season in 2005, winning six races and finishing runner-up in the point standings to Tony Stewart, who won his second of three Cup Series championships.

Biffle's 19th and final Cup Series victory came in 2013 at Michigan International Speedway. It was only fitting for the 2-mile oval to be where the veteran had his last trip to Victory Lane at the Cup level, as it was his winningest track with four triumphs.

Biffle stepped away from full-time competition after the 2016 season but continued to make select starts. In 2019, Biffle piloted the No. 51 Toyota Tundra for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Truck Series. He led 18 laps en route to Victory Lane, which marked his last win in NASCAR.

After six years away from Cup Series racing, Biffle returned in 2022 in the No. 44 Chevrolet with NY Racing and qualified his way into the 64th running of the Daytona 500. He finished 36th.

In 2023, Biffle was recognized as one of NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers and was honored at a ceremony at Darlington, joining a handful of the sport's icons.

Biffle was honored with the NMPA Myers Brothers Award at the 2024 NASCAR Awards ceremony for his relief efforts in Western North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Biffle utilized social media and his platform as a NASCAR star to highlight the need for assistance in the region and helped deliver aid into the area.
