Atlanta Motor Speedway
Date: Sunday, Feb. 25
Race No.: 2/36
Comment: After settling in as a mid-March date, Atlanta once again moves to being shortly after the season-opening Daytona 500 — in this case, the week immediately following like it was from 2015-19. That's two superspeedway-style races to open the season, for those following along at home.

Bristol Motor Speedway
Date: Sunday, March 17
Race No.: 5/36
Comment: Bristol's spring race not only moves to a date that is still technically in the winter, the surface of the track will be different as well. No, not because it'll be covered with snow — but instead the lack of dirt as Bristol returns to two concrete races in 2024.

Date: Sunday, April 14
Race No.: 9/36
Comment: Speaking of "returning," Texas once again has found a place in the regular season after a stretch that saw no regular-season races but did at times see both All-Star and NASCAR Playoffs appearances.

Iowa Speedway
Date: Sunday, June 16
Race No.: 17/36
Comment: Perhaps the most notable change, the Cup Series will make its long-anticipated debut on one of the Midwest's premier ovals in Newton, Iowa. Loads of Cup stars have won here in the past, which should make for a contentious bout.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Date: Sunday, June 23
Race No.: 18/36
Comment: There's nothing like summer in New England, and now NHMS fans will get to see their favorite drivers on the first race weekend after the solstice. The "Magic Mile" has seen races in both July and September in recent years but has not raced in June since 2010.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Date: Sunday, July 21
Race No.: 22/36
Comment: The Brickyard is another track set for large changes next season, seeing the race date move back to July on the calendar after being in August in 2023. Bigger than that, however, was the news that the race would be moving back to its traditional form on the 2.5-mile oval layout for the race's 30th anniversary.

Darlington Raceway
Date: Sunday, Sept. 1
Race No.: 26/36
Comment: Here's another huge one — while Darlington keeps its traditional Labor Day Weekend spot on the calendar, the Southern 500 will have a new wrinkle ... in that it's also the regular-season finale, with the former elimination race at Daytona International Speedway still a week prior. Talk about tough.

Atlanta Motor Speedway
Date: Sunday, Sept. 8
Race No.: 27/36
Comment: Big year for the ATL — not only does the track move to the second race of the season, it's also the first race of the postseason, officially adding another drafting track to the NASCAR Playoffs along with Talladega's traditional Round of 12 spot. Yet another wild card.

Comment: And finally, The Glen is due for some well-deserved postseason attention as well, landing as the second race of the Round of 16 to add a second road course to the 10-race playoff run.
