DARLINGTON RACEWAY, FALL 2021

Denny Hamlin won the NASCAR Playoffs opener, but just barely. He led on the last lap and managed to hold off a hard-charging Kyle Larson, who ran the fence and ultimately ran into the back of Hamlin's car when he went up to make the block.

ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY, SPRING 2022

Late in Stage 2 in the first event at the reconfigured 1.5-mile track, Hamlin gave Larson an errant shove off Turn 4, causing the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet to spin into teammate Chase Elliott and back into Hamlin and the outside wall.

KANSAS SPEEDWAY, SPRING 2023

Battling for the race win at Kansas early in the 2023 season, Hamlin and Larson went contact-free up until the final lap when the No. 11 squeezed Larson into the outside wall in Turns 1 and 2. Larson was able to stay side-by-side with Hamlin down the backstretch until Hamlin made contact with Larson's left rear, causing the No. 5 to get loose and slam the wall. Hamlin went on to take the checkered flag.

POCONO RACEWAY, SUMMER 2023

Once again in a fight for victory, Hamlin and Larson started on the front row late at the "Tricky Triangle." In similar fashion to what Hamlin did the previous season to Ross Chastain, the No. 11 made Turn 2 wide, which forced Larson into the wall off the corner.

Under caution, Larson showed his displeasure and door-slammed Hamlin down the frontstretch. It was another race won by Hamlin, while Larson finished in 20th.

After the race, Larson said he's been "cost a lot of good finishes" by Hamlin.

IOWA SPEEDWAY, SPRING 2024

While it was indirect contact between the two, Larson and Hamlin found each other wadded up during the final stage in the Cup Series' debut at Iowa.

An aggressive Larson kept it four-wide out of Turn 4, creating contact between himself and Daniel Suárez. The contact sent the No. 5 spinning into the outside where Hamlin had nowhere to go.

Both Hamlin and Larson finished outside the top 20.

NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY, SUMMER 2024

Battling for position, Hamlin made Turns 1 and 2 wide around the flat 1-mile oval. It was enough to get Larson out of shape, which led to a fiery back-and-forth between Larson and his spotter, Tyler Monn.

NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY, SUMMER 2024

For a third consecutive week, Larson and Hamlin found each other in a hotly contested battle for points at the end of Stage 2.

On the stage's final lap, Larson used a familiar Hamlin trick of making the corner wide for the No. 5. It got Hamlin out of shape, and Larson was able to beat the No. 11 back to the start/finish line. Under caution, Hamlin showed his displeasure, slamming into the rear of Larson's vehicle multiple times.
