Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 41 Ford for Stewart-Haas Racing, finished 14th in the 2017 Monster Energy Series standings. Here are the highlights from his 17th full-time year in NASCAR’s top level.

Busch kicked off his year before the season even started by participating in the annual Monster Energy 'Doonies' event featuring Monster trucks, Monster Energy Girls and more.

The Stewart-Haas driver continued his exciting start to 2017 by marrying his fiancee, Ashley, followed by a celebration with a special musical performance by Aerosmith's Steven Tyler.

And as if things couldn't get any better for Busch to open the year, he picked up the first Daytona 500 victory of his career -- and celebrated in Victory Lane with fellow Monster Energy athlete Rob Gronkowski.

Things took a turn for the scary in May, however, when Busch got to meet the 'Prince of Darkness,' himself, Ozzy Osbourne.

Busch and his No. 41 team turned on the jets late in the regular season, churning out a 5.8 average finish in the five races leading up to the Monster Energy Series Playoffs.

Following the tragedy in his hometown of Las Vegas, Busch created a garden memorial to honor the victims.

After being eliminated from the playoffs, Busch and his team built some late-season momentum by earning the Coors Light Pole Award at Texas Motor Speedway.

Busch confirmed his 2018 plans in a statement in mid-December: He will return to Stewart-Haas Racing in the No. 41 Ford. Stewart-Haas made it official Dec. 15.
