10. Matt Crafton, 2001 points
No. 88 ThorSport Racing Toyota
Reached playoffs by: Points
Outlook: While it hasn't been the season Crafton has wanted, he can still view the playoffs as a clean slate. His six laps led this season are the fewest of the playoff field, but with three of the first four playoff races occurring on short tracks, Crafton can use his veteran experience to handle emotions that might be tougher for the younger drivers.

9. Grant Enfinger, 2002 points
No. 23 GMS Racing Chevrolet
Reached playoffs by: Points
Outlook: While winless like Matt Crafton, Enfinger was consistent through the regular season, finishing 11th or better in 10 of 13 races dating back to Circuit of The Americas. However, he will need to find some quick momentum as he enters IRP with three straight finishes outside the top 10.

8. Carson Hocevar, 2005 points
No. 42 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet
Reached playoffs by: Points
Outlook: The 19-year-old has had to overcome a broken tibia and golden win opportunities that fell short to return to the postseason. With three consecutive top fives heading into the playoff opener, Hocevar is riding a lot of momentum and that first career win may finally be coming sooner rather than later. He's also led the third-most laps in the Truck field this year (208).

7. Ty Majeski, 2006 points
No. 66 ThorSport Racing Toyota
Reached playoffs by: Points, ranked sixth before standings were re-seeded
Outlook: Majeski has made the most of his first full-time opportunity in the Truck Series. A win could be on the horizon for him in the Round of 10 at Kansas Speedway after a second-place run at the first Kansas race in the spring.

6. Christian Eckes, 2007 points
No. 98 ThorSport Racing Toyota
Reached playoffs by: Points, ranked fifth before standings were re-seeded
Outlook: Similar to Ty Majeski, Eckes was in a part-time role in 2021 before earning a full-time ride for this season. He's rattled off seven top-10 finishes in the previous nine races and will be a threat to crack the Championship 4.

5. Stewart Friesen, 2013 points
No. 52 Halmar Friesen Racing Toyota
Reached playoffs by: 1 win (Texas Motor Speedway)
Outlook: With an average finish of 9.8, Friesen is having his best season since 2019, when he reached the Championship 4. Since his win at Texas, he's nabbed four top fives in seven races to carry some big momentum into the playoffs.

4. John Hunter Nemechek, 2016 points
No. 4 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota
Reached playoffs by: 1 win (Darlington Raceway)
Outlook: For Nemechek's standards, it's been a down year for him and the No. 4 KBM team that began the season with three straight finishes of 24th or worse. However, since Atlanta, he's scored a top 10 in all but two races. He's going to need to turn those good runs into victories for many to feel safe about picking Nemechek to reach the Championship 4.

3. Ben Rhodes, 2017 points
No. 99 ThorSport Racing Toyota
Reached playoffs by: 1 win (Bristol Dirt)
Outlook: The defending champ has been plagued with inconsistency through the 2022 season and only has a best finish of eighth since earning his lone win of the year on the Bristol Dirt. He also enters the playoffs with three straight results outside the top 10. He's in a good spot to start the postseason but needs to find that consistency again if he wants to defend his crown.

2. Chandler Smith, 2022 points
No. 18 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota
Reached playoffs by: 2 wins (Las Vegas, Pocono)
Outlook: No better way to enter the postseason than coming off a victory, and if the momentum holds, Chandler Smith could find himself in a prime spot to defend his Phoenix race win -- but this time, to add a series title to his name as well.

1. Zane Smith, 2037 points
No. 38 Front Row Motorsports Ford
Reached playoffs by: 3 wins (Daytona, COTA, Kansas)
Outlook: When it comes to title favorites, there's no easier pick than the California native. Zane Smith has won on all disciplines of tracks outside of a short track but picked up a top 10 at Martinsville. He controls his own destiny and should find his way to a third straight Championship 4 appearance.
