The scoop: Hendrick Motorsports extended the contracts of driver Alex Bowman and sponsor Ally Financial on Feb. 15 with Bowman getting a deal that will keep him in the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet through at least 2026. Ally, meanwhile, got a deal through the 2028 season.

Daniel Suárez

The scoop: Trackhouse Racing signed Daniel Suárez to a multi-year contract extension on Feb. 15. Exact terms of the deal were not disclosed. Suárez finished a career-best 10th in the standings last season in his second year with Trackhouse.

Old gig: Former Team Penske crew chief for Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney.

The scoop: After retiring from full-time duty in 2021, the championship-winning crew chief will make his return atop Jimmie Johnson's pit box with Legacy Motor Club during his limited schedule. Gordon has 25 wins in his time as a crew chief, highlighted by Logano's first title run in 2018.

New ride: No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet in the NASCAR Cup Series

Old ride: No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota in the NASCAR Cup Series

The scoop: Busch announced on Sept. 13, 2022, that he is moving to Richard Childress Racing in 2023 after 15 years with Joe Gibbs Racing. Busch will join Austin Dillon in the RCR fold. Busch won 56 Cup Series races and two championships (2015, 2019) with JGR after coming over from Hendrick Motorsports.

New ride: No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota in the NASCAR Cup Series

Old ride: No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet in the NASCAR Cup Series

The scoop: RCR confirmed 23XI Racing's option to buy out Reddick for the 2023 season, making his move to Toyota official. It was originally announced on July 12, 2022, that Reddick would join 23XI in 2024, so he joins a season earlier than first expected.

Old ride: No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota in the NASCAR Xfinity Series

The scoop: Fresh off the 2022 Xfinity Series championship, Joe Gibbs Racing announced on Nov. 15, 2022, that Gibbs would be elevated to the NASCAR Cup Series for 2023. He'll pilot the No. 54 Toyota — formerly the No. 18 driven by Kyle Busch — and bring NXS crew chief Chris Gayle along with him.

New ride: No. 41 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford in the NASCAR Cup Series

Old ride: Reserve driver for Stewart-Haas Racing, No. 17 David Gilliland Racing Ford in the Craftsman Truck Series part-time

The scoop: Stewart-Haas Racing promoted Preece on Nov. 16, 2022, to a full-time Cup Series ride for 2023 in the No. 41 Ford. Preece will replace Cole Custer, who held that seat for the past three seasons, winning in 2020 at Kentucky Speedway. Custer will move to the Xfinity Series and team with Riley Herbst at SHR. Preece last raced full-time in the Cup Series with JTG Daugherty Racing from 2019-2021, where he posted two top-five finishes and nine top 10s. Chad Johnston returns to SHR to crew chief the No. 41 Ford, previously serving as Tony Stewart's crew chief in 2014 and 2015.

AM Racing will also switch manufacturers from Chevrolet to Ford, a change that includes a technical alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing and Ford Performance.
