In 2020, @nascarcasm decided to give the corners at the Daytona Road Course catchy labels.
Now that we’ve had a few races on the road course, we feel a few updates are necessary.

At this year’s Busch Clash, Kurt Busch got in there JUST a little bit hot. We think he finally came to a stop in Deltona.

You probably locked the brakes up pretty bad going into the previous turn. Here is where you gather yourself back up.

They’re not all gonna be that great, OK.

This is unchanged from the previous round of suggested names. It still works perfectly. This looks like the fluke of a whale’s tail. Again, if you squint with the intensity of Joey Logano, you’ll see it.

We’re just basing this on what we saw at the Charlotte Roval race in 2020. We prefer to be honest with our labels.

You may have seen his little “oops” during Rolex 24 practice. Personally, I’d get “Drove into oncoming traffic during Rolex 24 and didn’t collide with anyone” tattooed on the other cheek, but that’s his decision.

This too is unchanged. This is one of the few times you aren’t roaring through Turns 1 and 2 in a giant pack where the risk of a massive wreck is high. You are dependent only on yourself for speed. Take a deep breath. Imagine pan flutes playing. Achieve Zen.

It’s Turn 11, so we’re going to name it after Denny Hamlin and the No. 11 car. We know Denny will appreciate that the words “Turn Denny Hamlin” will be relayed non-stop over the radio and no one will at all think it’s actually a request and not the name of a turn.

From this point forward, this turn will forever be the place where the friendship between Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott was truly put to the test. It’s where the two got together during the Busch Clash, which allowed Kyle Busch to skate by for the win. It’s the moment we all tweeted, “OMG, ARE THEY STILL GONNA BE FRIENDS?” even though they were probably playing “Among Us” together an hour later.
