The 2024 regular season didn't go the way Chastain would've liked, as the No. 1 pilot failed to clinch a Cup Series victory or a postseason berth in the Cup Series Playoffs -- but that didn't stop Chastain from playing the role of playoff spoiler. He did just that at Kansas Speedway to open the Round of 12, with his Midwest victory slotting in as his fifth career triumph in NASCAR's premier series.

Starting from the rear of the field in a backup car, Ross Chastain took command in the final laps of NASCAR's longest race to overcome race dominator William Byron and claim his first crown-jewel victory in the 2025 Coca-Cola 600. Chastain's post-race celebration was one for the ages, celebrating with the fans -- and some melon -- in the stands and sharing an intimate moment with a classic Coca-Cola machine in Victory Lane.
