Another masterclass! Although an alternate strategy had the Kiwi 29.2 seconds behind race leader Ty Gibbs with 18 laps remaining, the road-course master soared late, overtaking the leaders with eight laps to go and winning at Watkins Glen International by 7.288 seconds. The triumph was van Gisbergen's first Cup win in the No. 97, a number that holds personal significance to SVG.
