Editor's note: These photos were taken and originally published in 2018 following Chase Elliott's win at Dover. This gallery is being resurfaced on NASCAR.com ahead of the debut of “Chase,” a documentary that will debut on Peacock on Aug. 25, 2021 (and air on NBCSN on Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. ET) that sees Dale Earnhardt Jr. journey to Dawsonville, Georgia, to learn firsthand from Elliott, as well as family and others, the work that went into his fast rise up the NASCAR ladder culminating in the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Championship.

Welcome to Dawsonville, Georgia. Home of Bill Elliott, Chase Elliott and where City Hall is connected to the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame.

The folks in Dawsonville know how to celebrate a win. This sign was changed quickly after Chase Elliott's April 29 win at Talladega Superspeedway.

After every win, the legendary siren sounds.

And here's the siren above. Locals were tickled when an emoji representing the siren was added to Chase Elliott's car in 2018.

Lloyd Seay is almost an urban legend of sorts. Cousin of Raymond Parks, Seay was an incredible racer in his own right, but died in 1941.
