There's been a lot of buzz about iRacing lately. With so many laser-scanned, insanely accurate tracks from which to choose, what are some of the favorites of sim racers?

Of course, it’s impossible to form an opinion from my own, so I reached out to the Twitterverse for some help. Listed in order by the number of votes for each track, here's what iRacing fans had to say.

No. 13: Talladega Superspeedway
And why not? The biggest track in NASCAR is a blast in the virtual world. Just look out for the "Big One."

No. 12: Martinsville Speedway
Along with the biggest tracks, people love the smallest. "The Paperclip" is always there for a bumper-beating good time.

No. 11: Homestead-Miami Speedway
With progressive banking and a beautiful sunset that's even been ported to the sim world, what's not to like?

No. 10: Centripetal Circuit
OK, this one's not technically a real track, but Twitter sure likes it. Designed as a simple skid pad track for testing, you can't really race at this giant, flat, fictional circle in the middle of nowhere, but it's fun to learn how cars work.

No. 9: Iowa Speedway
It's a short track! It's an intermediate track! No, it's Iowa Speedway, a .875-mile oval considered one of the favorites on the iRacing service.

No. 8: Daytona International Speedway, circa 2007
If you like a bumpy track surface, you'll love iRacing's pre-repave version of Daytona. Keeping your car in line is often a struggle, and you'll wonder how drivers raced there in real life.

What else is there to say? It's Bristol, baby.

No. 6: Daytona International Speedway, current-day
While the bumpy, old version of Daytona is popular, the smoother, repaved version has even more fans, apparently.

No. 5: Watkins Glen International
It’s one of the fastest road courses and the home to plenty of exciting NASCAR finishes. No wonder it's one of the top five fan-favorite venues on iRacing.

No. 4: Rockingham Speedway
The Rock — even its name is intimidating. Rockingham Speedway will chew apart your tires with its old, rough surface, making sim racing a test of tire management skills.

No. 3: Texas Motor Speedway
iRacing just released a brand-new version of the re-scanned Texas Motor Speedway — and it's beautiful. We're kind of amazed at just how wide the reconfigured Turn 1 feels.

No. 2: Chicagoland Speedway
Chicagoland is a track that races well, and it's another iRacing fave. Maybe it's because you're always turning — that backstretch isn't quite a straightaway.

No. 1: Charlotte Motor Speedway
You like versatility? Twitter, the final measure of all opinions, decided Charlotte Motor Speedway — between the traditional oval and the new road course configuration — is the best track on iRacing. Just look out for those speed bumps if you're racing the Roval. Trust me. I've hit plenty of them.
