William Byron became the first two-time winner of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season with the No. 24's victory at Circuit of The Americas on March 24. The occasion marks the third consecutive year the North Carolina native has become the first full-time driver to find Victory Lane twice during a Cup campaign.

Why is this important? Since the start of the elimination-style playoff era in 2014, the first repeat winner of the Cup season has reached the Championship 4 in nine of 10 years. As such, let's take a look at each quick winner over each season and see where they finished in the final standings.
