Three is the magic number for these drivers at Martinsville
Seven different drivers have won at least three consecutive races at Martinsville. Two of them are active — Jimmie Johnson won the fall race in 2006 and swept the 2007 races, and Denny Hamlin
won the 2009 fall race and swept the 2010 races. The others are Fred
Lorenzen (four straight from 1963-65), Richard Petty (1968-69), Cale
Yarborough (1976-77), Darrell Waltrip (1988-89) and Rusty Wallace
(1994-95).
