Elijah Burke just can’t thank all the guys back at the shop enough.
The recent College at Brockport graduate charmed the internet this week with his post-graduation, NASCAR-style interview.

From all the thanking and giving credit, to his “PR person” swapping out his graduate cap for a sponsor cap mid-sentence to even holding his Coca-Cola label-out (Coca-Cola Racing Family member Joey Logano would be proud), Burke nails it.
Looking for a job in the industry, he may have succeeded — his viral tweet has garnered the attention of a few tracks, even NASCAR itself.
Hey Elijah! Let’s get you down to Richmond next Wednesday to test out our new Victory Lane before it opens in September. We think you’re the right guy for the job 😉 https://t.co/8h7QFH32dC

In this day and age, it pays to stand out from the crowd. Burke has done just that, and says he drew inspiration from similar viral video from about five years ago. Talk about recall.
“I had the idea for this type of video a few weeks before graduation,” Burke told NASCAR.com. “I remembered Elliot Johnson from the Atlanta Braves giving a NASCAR-style, post-race interview after a game once; that made me realize you can truly apply the NASCAR interview to anything.
“I thought to myself ‘why not graduation?’ I’ve had a couple of tweets reach 1,000 favorites before, but never did I expect this kind of response. It’s truly humbling and rewarding and couldn’t have come at a better time with respect to finding a job. I’d just like to thank my mom, dad, sister, extended family, friends, and all the guys back at the shop for all the hard work they’ve put in this season.”
