Myatt Snider finished fourth in the Pocono Green 225 Recycled by J.P. Mascaro & Sons at Pocono Raceway on Sunday to secure his first career top-five finish.

Snider’s top five finish, the second time he has achieved that result this year, added 44 points to his season total.

Snider started in second position and led eight laps in the race. The first-year driver has collected one top-five and three top-10 finishes in his career.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native’s starting and finishing positions compared favorably to his career averages, starting 13 spots higher than his career mark of 15.3 and completing the race 14 places ahead of his 18.4 career average finish.

Snider’s fourth-place finish was against 36 other drivers. The race endured nine cautions and 31 caution laps. There were 12 lead changes.

Chase Briscoe earned the win in the race, followed by Ross Chastain in the No. 2 spot and Jeremy Clements in third. Snider placed fourth in front of Michael Annett’s fifth-place finish.

After Austin Cindric won the first stage, Justin Allgaier drove the No. 7 car to victory in Stage 2.
