Todd Gilliland rounded out the top 10 in the Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday.
The top 10 finish for Gilliland, his fifth of the year, added 33 points to his season total.
Gilliland started in ninth position. The fourth-year driver has one career victory, with 14 top-five finishes and 30 results inside the top 10.
The tenth-place result on Saturday was the first time Gilliland has cracked the top 10 at Kentucky Speedway.
The Sherrills Ford, North Carolina native’s starting and finishing positions compared favorably to his career averages, starting one spot higher than his career mark of 9.9 and completing the race two places ahead of his 11.6 career average finish.
Gilliland’s 10th-place finish was against 40 other drivers. The race endured seven cautions and 25 caution laps. There were six lead changes.
Sheldon Creed brought home the win in the race, and Ben Rhodes finished second. Matt Crafton placed third, Johnny Sauter secured fourth, and Austin Hill finished off the top five.
After Zane Smith won the first stage, Creed seized control and won Stage 2 before driving to victory.
