Kaz Grala drives No. 21 Chevrolet Impala to fourth-place finish at Road America

Kaz Grala finished fourth in the Henry 180 at Road America on Saturday.

Grala’s top-five finish, the first time he has achieved that result this year, added 38 points to his season total.

Grala started in sixth position and led two laps in the race. The third-year driver has collected three top-five and six top-10 finishes in his career.

The fourth-place result on Saturday was the first time Grala has cracked the top five at Road America. It also marks his first top-10 finish at Road America.

The Westborough, Massachusetts native’s starting and finishing positions compared favorably to his career averages, starting nine spots higher than his career mark of 14.5 and completing the race 11 places ahead of his 14.8 career average finish.

Grala competed with a field of 37 drivers on the way to his fourth-place finish. The race endured seven cautions and 15 caution laps. Prior to the checkered flag there were 13 lead changes.

Austin Cindric brought home the win in the race, followed by AJ Allmendinger in second place and Chase Briscoe in third. Grala secured fourth in front of Andy Lally’s No. 5 finish.

After Justin Haley won the first stage, Allmendinger drove the No. 16 car to victory in Stage 2.
