Sheldon Creed won Saturday evening’s Fleetio 200 at Darlington Raceway, the opening race in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Chase.

It’s the second career win of the No. 00 Haas Factory Team driver’s career after earning his maiden checkered flag at EchoPark Speedway in February.

After a mid-race incident with William Sawalich, Chase driver Corey Day recovered for a runner-up result at the South Carolina oval. Brent Crews, Sammy Smith and Austin Hill completed the top five. Anthony Alfredo, Taylor Gray, Sam Mayer, Jeremy Clements and Brandon Jones rounded out the top 10.

JR Motorsports’ Carson Kvapil (12th) and Justin Allgaier (17th) finished outside the top 10 after their cars struggled on the final 40-lap run to the finish.

Rajah Caruth ran as high as sixth in the closing laps after recovering from mechanical issues in the No. 88 JRM Chevrolet, but ran out of fuel with less than 10 laps to go and finished two laps down in 26th.

The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Chase continues next Saturday at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (7:30 p.m. ET, The CW, ESPN Unlimited, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
