Spire Motorsports officially announced on its social media Tuesday that Daniel Suárez will return to the team’s No. 7 Chevrolet for the 2027 NASCAR Cup Series season.

The news comes amid Suárez’s most consistent year to date, posting a career-best 15.2 average finish with just four races remaining in the 2026 campaign. The extension also confirms the success of Suárez’s first year with the organization, winning the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May and qualifying for The Chase presented by Mobil 1. Suárez and teammate Carson Hocevar earned Spire Motorsports its first appearances in NASCAR’s postseason this year.

Suárez joined Spire Motorsports this season after five years at Trackhouse Racing, where he collected each of the first two victories of his career. A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Suárez qualified for NASCAR’s postseason twice during that tenure but ultimately slid to a disappointing end in 2025, finishing 29th in the final standings.

The 2026 campaign has been a season of rejuvenation, both for Suárez and the No. 7 team. Suárez has never ranked lower than 17th in the points standings all season and currently sits 14th entering Sunday’s Freeway Insurance 500 at Phoenix Raceway (3 p.m. ET, USA Network, HBO Max, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). Suárez will carry the Freeway Insurance colors on his Chevrolet.
