Tyler Reddick finishes 13th at Dover International Speedway


Tyler Reddick finished 13th in the Drydene 311 at Dover International Speedway on Saturday.

Reddick’s result added 24 points to his season total. Reddick is now No. 17 in the NASCAR Cup Series standings with 544 points.

Reddick started in 16th position. The second-year driver has earned two top-five and eight top-10 finishes in his career.

The Corning, California native’s starting and finishing positions compared favorably to his career averages, starting eight spots higher than his career mark of 24.3 and completing the race five places ahead of his 17.5 career average finish.

Reddick’s 13th-place finish was against a field of 40 drivers. The race endured four cautions and 21 caution laps. Prior to the checkered flag there were 15 lead changes.

Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag in the race, and Martin Truex Jr took second. Kyle Busch crossed the finish line third, Kevin Harvick brought home fourth, and Chase Elliott rounded out the top five.

As well as earning the race victory, Hamlin won both of the first two stages to complete an impressive day in Dover.
