It’s time for superspeedway action in the NASCAR Cup Series, with the circuit next taking on the one-and-only Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday (2 p.m. ET, NBC, HBO Max, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
The YellaWood 500 will be the eighth of 10 races encompassing this season’s Chase presented by Mobil 1 and the 34th points-paying event overall. Chase Briscoe is the defending fall winner.
A chaotic contest at Phoenix Raceway resulted in Tyler Reddick and the No. 45 23XI Racing camp finding Victory Lane for the sixth time this season and the first time in The Chase. A 34th-place scuffle for Kyle Larson and the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports team resulted in every other Chaser gaining ground on the defending Cup champion. Following Phoenix, six Chase drivers are within 56 points of Larson.
