After a contest at Phoenix Raceway, the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series treks eastward to tackle Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday (3:30 p.m. ET, The CW, ESPN Unlimited, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
The Progress Group 250 will be the seventh of nine races making up this season’s Chase presented by Mobil 1 and the 31st points-paying event overall. Austin Hill is the defending Talladega fall winner.
Hill’s teammate — and fellow Chaser — Jesse Love claimed The Chase lead in the standings following his Phoenix victory. The No. 2 Richard Childress Racing pilot holds a 36-point edge over Justin Allgaier and the No. 7 JR Motorsports camp. The defending O’Reilly champion in Love will look to continue his Talladega prowess, with finishes of 10th or better — including a 2024 O’Reilly victory there — in five career races at the 2.66-mile track.
