NASCAR is excited to announce the upcoming launch of the NASCAR NEXT Engineering Fellowship Program in the fall of 2025. This one-of-a-kind initiative is brought to you in partnership with our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners!

This program is developed in collaboration with NASCAR’s official automotive manufacturing partners. These participating manufacturers play a key role in supporting and shaping the fellowship experience.
Program Structure
Two-year Rotation with initial cohort(s) being staggered every other year (i.e., 2025, 2027, etc.):

One Fellow per OEM

Fellows will rotate disciplines (within the Racing/Performance division of respective OEMs) every Quarter; including a 4-6 week rotation within NASCAR competition/engineering/officiating

Fellows will work with OEM designated NASCAR Team in year 2 (Weekly Series – Cup Series as determined by OEM)

Upon successful completion of a 2-year cycle, Fellows would have the option to remain with the team or OEM full-time

Anticipated annual salary ~$80,000
Targeted Demographic
-
2nd Year Master’s candidates or recent graduates of a program in a STEM discipline (i.e., mechanical engineers, computer science, or related majors)

2.8 Grade Point Average

Program participants must be members of one of the three Professional organizations: National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), or the Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
