Before the NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase kicks off at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 24 (8 p.m. ET, NBCSN), take a minute to get to know the twelve drivers who are competing for the 2016 championship title.

1. Erik Jones
Joe Gibbs Racing, No. 20 Toyota
Outlook: Jones has had a strong season with four wins and it's clear he's learned plenty from mentor Kyle Busch. It would be surprising to not see Jones in the mix at Homestead.
Best Chase track: Texas, with one win and a average finish of 2.3 in three starts
Worst Chase track: Charlotte, average finish of 16.0 in three starts. Jones has no starts at Kansas.
Joe Gibbs Racing, No. 20 Toyota
Outlook: Jones has had a strong season with four wins and it's clear he's learned plenty from mentor Kyle Busch. It would be surprising to not see Jones in the mix at Homestead.
Best Chase track: Texas, with one win and a average finish of 2.3 in three starts
Worst Chase track: Charlotte, average finish of 16.0 in three starts. Jones has no starts at Kansas.

2. Elliott Sadler
JR Motorsports, No. 1 Chevrolet
Outlook: Sadler has led the XFINITY standings for much of the second half of the season. With two wins this season, he looks like a strong contender.
Best Chase track: Kentucky, average finish of 8.0 in 10 starts.
Worst Chase track: Charlotte, average finish of 17.0 in 19 starts.
JR Motorsports, No. 1 Chevrolet
Outlook: Sadler has led the XFINITY standings for much of the second half of the season. With two wins this season, he looks like a strong contender.
Best Chase track: Kentucky, average finish of 8.0 in 10 starts.
Worst Chase track: Charlotte, average finish of 17.0 in 19 starts.

3. Daniel Suarez
Joe Gibbs Racing, No. 19 Toyota
Outlook: Suarez earned his first XFINITY Series win this season. The Mexican-born driver has been extremely consistent with his eye on the title.
Best Chase track: Phoenix, average finish of 6.0 in three starts.
Worst Chase track: Texas, average finish of 13.3 in three starts.

Outlook: Suarez earned his first XFINITY Series win this season. The Mexican-born driver has been extremely consistent with his eye on the title.

4. Ty Dillon
Richard Childress Racing, No. 3 Chevrolet
Outlook: The RCR driver is still seeking his first win of 2016. Consistency has gotten Dillon to the Chase, but a win would push him closer to the title.
Best Chase track: Kansas, average finish of 4.5 in two starts.
Worst Chase track: Dover, average finish of 12.9 in seven starts.
Richard Childress Racing, No. 3 Chevrolet
Outlook: The RCR driver is still seeking his first win of 2016. Consistency has gotten Dillon to the Chase, but a win would push him closer to the title.
Best Chase track: Kansas, average finish of 4.5 in two starts.
Worst Chase track: Dover, average finish of 12.9 in seven starts.

5. Justin Allgaier
JR Motorsports, No. 7 Chevrolet
Outlook: Allgaier has been a stealth contender and a top-10 finishing machine this season, but he's looking to make a splash in the Chase.
Best Chase track: Kansas, average finish of 7.2 in five starts.
Worst Chase track: Homestead, average finish of 17.0 in six starts.

6. Darrell Wallace Jr.
Roush Fenway Racing, No. 6 Ford
Outlook: Bubba is no longer a rookie, but he's still chasing his first XFINITY win. With his determination, it's likely it could come in the Chase.
Best Chase track: Kentucky, average finish of 7.0 in three starts.
Worst Chase track: Texas, average finish of 13.3 in three starts.
Roush Fenway Racing, No. 6 Ford
Outlook: Bubba is no longer a rookie, but he's still chasing his first XFINITY win. With his determination, it's likely it could come in the Chase.
Best Chase track: Kentucky, average finish of 7.0 in three starts.
Worst Chase track: Texas, average finish of 13.3 in three starts.

Richard Childress Racing, No. 62 Chevrolet
Outlook: Gaughan is far from a rookie and in this first XFINITY Series Chase, anything is possible. The veteran's two series wins came in 2014.
Best Chase track: Kentucky, one win and an average finish of 5.8 in seven starts.
Worst Chase track: Texas, average finish of 19.4 in nine starts.
Richard Childress Racing, No. 62 Chevrolet
Outlook: Gaughan is far from a rookie and in this first XFINITY Series Chase, anything is possible. The veteran's two series wins came in 2014.
Best Chase track: Kentucky, one win and an average finish of 5.8 in seven starts.
Worst Chase track: Texas, average finish of 19.4 in nine starts.

Chip Ganassi Racing, No. 48 Chevrolet
Outlook: The 25-year-old has had a solid rookie season and still seeks a win to top it off after a near miss at Talladega. Could that happen in the Chase?
Best Chase track: Dover, average finish of 11.0 in two starts.
Worst Chase track: Phoenix, average finish 18.0 in two starts. Poole has no starts at Homestead.
Chip Ganassi Racing, No. 48 Chevrolet

Outlook: The 19-year-old is taking on a lot in his rookie season. Expect Jones to be on the Round of 8 cutoff fringe if he can't keep up his consistency.
Best Chase track: Charlotte, average finish of 7.0 in one start.
Worst Chase track: Dover, average finish of 25.0 in one start. Jones has no starts at Kansas and Homestead.

Outlook: In a career-best season, Koch made the Chase field on consistency. The 31-year-old will need to raise his game if he hopes to make it until the end.
Best Chase track: Homestead, average finish of 24.5 in six starts.
Worst Chase track: Kansas, average finish of 31.8 in five starts.
Kaulig Racing, No. 11 Chevrolet
Outlook: In a career-best season, Koch made the Chase field on consistency. The 31-year-old will need to raise his game if he hopes to make it until the end.
