Trucks for race winner Keselowski, Hornaday, Custer ‘too high at the rear spoiler’
BRISTOL, Tenn. — The trucks of three drivers that finished in the top 10 at Bristol Motor Speedway, including that of race winner Brad Keselowski, had issues during post-race technical inspection here Thursday.
According to NASCAR, the trucks of Keselowski, third-place finisher Ron Hornaday Jr. and Cole Custer, who finished eighth “were too high at the rear spoiler” following the UNOH 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event.
Any penalties that may be forthcoming as a result of the infractions would be determined early next week. NASCAR eliminated rules governing ride heights in its premier series this season, but those restrictions remain in place for its other national series.
Keselowski led three times for 119 laps in the 200-lap race to earn his first career win in the series.
Hornaday ran a solid third for nearly the entire event while Custer, making just his fifth career start in the series, ran in the top-10 all morning.
Thursday’s race was originally scheduled for Wednesday night, but postponed due to rain.
