Bio
John Hunter Nemechek drives the No. 42 Legacy Motor Club Toyota in the NASCAR Cup Series. He has 11 career NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series wins and 13 career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series wins. He was a 2020 Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender in his first full season in the Cup Series after filling in for the injured Matt Tifft in 2019. Nemechek, the son of former O'Reilly Auto Parts Series champion Joe Nemechek, drove the No. 23 Chevrolet for GMS Racing full-time in O'Reilly during the 2019 campaign. In 2018, Nemechek earned his first career O'Reilly Auto Parts Series victory at Kansas Speedway, one of 11 top-10 finishes he had in 18 starts. His most recent victory in the series came in June 2024 for Joe Gibbs Racing at Nashville Superspeedway.
